In the world of Alaïa, material and form play a central role. At the South Coast Plaza store, the lighting follows this same philosophy, operating on two different scales to create a sophisticated, precise, and highly recognizable environment.

The general lighting of the space is defined by Folio Zero 100 Grid, a continuous-surface system that transforms the ceiling into a vast expanse of light. The modular structure and the tensioned diffuser fabric provide uniform, natural light while maintaining a clean architectural design with no visible joints.

Complementing this diffused lighting is Folio Opal 10L, used to introduce more focused and integrated lighting. The custom-made panel, integrated directly into the architectural elements, creates a completely luminous and uniform surface.

The result stems precisely from the balance between these two solutions: broad lighting that sets the atmosphere and more precise lighting that highlights the store’s details and surfaces.
